“Balling Degrees” refers to the density of sugars in unfermented beer (also known as “wort” – the sweet liquid from mashed grains). The Balling scale is simple enough: every degree equals 1 percent of sugar in the wort. So wort with 12 Balling degrees contains 12 percent sugar. That, or your unfermented beer is just hella ballin’ 😉
